Most brides who come to us with a family wedding dress want the same thing: to wear it on their own wedding day, made theirs. A grandmother's gown or your mother's dress becomes your dress — resized, restyled, designed and updated to match your vision, without losing what makes it hers.

(We also work with heirloom pieces beyond bridal — a dress passed down might become a christening gown, a bag, or a keepsake for the next generation, wedding-related or not. Every piece is assessed individually before anything begins.)

Start with a moodboard

Before your consultation, put together a moodboard of styles you love — necklines, silhouettes, sleeve shapes, anything that feels like your wedding day. It doesn't need to be polished. It just needs to show us the direction you're drawn to, so we can see the distance between where the dress is now and where you want it to go.

What carries the memories?

Sentimental value usually isn't in the whole dress — it's in specific details. A hand-embroidered hem. The lace from your mother's sleeve. A button she chose herself. We start by identifying exactly what carries the memory, then rebuild everything else around it. The dress doesn't need to survive completely intact for what mattered most to survive with it.
